Dad throws jug at magistrate in NSW court

A father is behind bars after he lost his cool in a Sydney court and threw a water jug at a magistrate. The 39-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested about 11am on Tuesday after he allegedly became agitated in Parramatta Children's Court during care proceedings involving his kids, police say.
Police arriving on the scene were told the man had threatened the magistrate before throwing the water jug from the bar table. The jug narrowly missed the magistrate and smashed into the wall behind the bench.
The man was charged with common assault and stalking or intimidating with the intent to cause physical harm and was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday.
