Michael Cooper missing from Alice Springs area

Northern Territory Police are appealing for public help in locating a 41-year-old man who went missing while driving from Alice Springs to Adelaide.

Michael Cooper last made contact with his family and friends on December 18.

He had told them he was intending to get home for Christmas.  It is believed he was driving a white Holden Rodeo utility with South Australian number plates.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have spoken to Mr Cooper or seen his vehicle on the Stuart Highway.

Mr Cooper has been working as a labourer in Alice Springs.

His employer, Gordon Bell, says he is concerned about Mr Cooper's welfare.

"I understand that his bank account has not been touched since he left and that says to me that he is in some sort of trouble somewhere," he said.
