POLICE are searching for the driver of a Mitsubishi Delica van who may hold the key to solving the disappearance of Larrimah man Patrick “Paddy” Moriarty.
Mr Moriarty, 70, went missing from the tiny outback town on Saturday, December 16.
He hasn’t been heard from since.
Police said they believed the Mitsubishi had been in Larrimah from early December to about December 21.

Detective Sergeant Matthew Allen said the driver of the vehicle could have information as to Mr Moriarty’s whereabouts.
“Finding Mr Moriarty remains our top priority, someone out there has information that can help us find Paddy and we urge them to come forward,” he said.
Mr Moriarty was last seen at 6pm on December 16 leaving the Larrimah Hotel.
Land and air searches have failed to turn up any trace of the former ringer or his red kelpie Kellie.
Mr Moriarty was reported missing by Larrimah publican Barry Sharpe after he became worried when Mr Moriarty didn’t turn up to the pub for a few days in a row.
When he went to Mr Moriarty’s home to check on his mate, he found the back door open and no signs of life.
On Saturday, detectives put a call out for passengers in a Greyhound bus travelling south on December 16 at dusk to get in contact.
Detectives from Darwin and Katherine have been sent to investigate his disappearance, which police have deemed “out of character”.
Mr Moriarty is described as caucasian and 178cm tall, with a medium build, a tanned appearance, short black/grey hair and a moustache.
He was last seen wearing dark-coloured shorts, a singlet, thongs and a baseball-style cap.
Mr Moriarty has lived at Larrimah for the past 11 years and before that lived in Daly Waters.
He is well known across the Territory, having worked on numerous cattle stations, including Brunette Downs back in 1966.
Anyone with information is urged to notify police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 to assist police with their inquiries.
